Return Policy

What’s returnable

  • Aligned Journal (hardcover): must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging.

  • Return window: request within 14 days of delivery (per carrier scan).

Not returnable

  • Opened, used, or written-in journals (including removed shrink wrap/waist band).

  • Digital downloads (planners, prompt packs, etc.).

  • Gift cards.

  • Final-sale/last-chance items and discounted bundles.

  • Items returned without approval or outside the return window.

Damaged or defective items

Email hello@alignedjournal.com within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Order number

  • Photos of the shipping box, label, and the issue

  • We’ll replace the item or issue a refund. Keep packaging until we advise next steps.

Exchanges

  • Damaged/defective: we’ll exchange at no cost.

  • Preference changes: follow the unopened return process and place a new order.

Bundles

Bundles must be returned in full and unopened. If any item is kept, the refund equals the bundle price minus the full retail price of kept items.

How to start a return

  1. Email hello@alignedjournal.com with your order number and reason.

  2. If approved, we’ll send a Return Authorization and the return address.

  3. Ship within 7 days of approval using a trackable service. Return shipping is your responsibility.

*We aren’t responsible for returns lost in transit. Keep your tracking number.

Refunds

  • Issued to the original payment method after we receive and inspect the item.

  • Allow 5–10 business days after receipt for processing.

  • Original shipping isn’t refundable. If your order had free shipping, a $5 outbound shipping deduction applies.

  • If the item arrives opened/used, we may decline the refund.

Order changes & cancellations

  • Before shipment: email us; we’ll try to cancel or update.

  • After shipment: use the return process above.

Digital products

All digital products are final sale. If you can’t access your files, email within 7 days and we’ll re-send or provide an alternate format. Duplicate purchases can be refunded within 7 days.

Shipping issues

Packages marked “delivered” by the carrier are considered delivered. If missing, start with the carrier’s local office/neighbor check; then email us and we’ll help as possible.

Note: This policy applies to U.S. orders. If your jurisdiction grants mandatory consumer rights (e.g., EU/UK cooling-off), those rights apply.
